Prospective graduate students interested in the USF College of Public Health (COPH) now have a new way to explore academic programs and connect with members of the college community before applying.
Through Unibuddy, an online messaging platform, prospective students can have one-on-one conversations with current students and staff ambassadors who offer firsthand insight into academics, student life, research opportunities and the admissions process.
The college's ambassadors represent four graduate degree programs, including the master of public health (MPH), master of science in public health (MSPH), master of health administration (MHA) and doctor of philosophy (PhD). Student ambassadors also represent the college's academic departments, allowing prospective students to connect with someone whose academic interests or career goals align with their own.
The platform also features international student ambassadors who can answer questions about transitioning to graduate school in the United States, navigating campus life and studying at USF as an international student.
In addition to student ambassadors, staff ambassadors are available to answer questions about admissions requirements, application timelines, enrollment, financial aid and other aspects of the admissions process.
Since launching in November 2025, the platform has become a growing resource for prospective students. As of July 2026, College of Public Health student ambassadors have answered 181 questions from prospective students interested in learning more about the college and its graduate programs.
Prospective students can browse ambassador profiles, choose someone whose background or interests match their own and communicate through email, text message or WhatsApp.
The goal is to make the admissions experience as personal and approachable as possible by connecting prospective students with current students and staff to help them see what it's really like to be part of the COPH before they even step on campus.
