Au.D./Ph.D. Dual Degree
The dual degree Doctor of Audiology and Doctor of Philosophy (Au.D./Ph.D.) program offers a path for those interested in clinical research to earn both degrees within approximately six years. The primary objective is to produce research audiologists competent to perform a wide array of diagnostic, rehabilitative, and other services associated with audiology and to conduct independent research in the area of hearing science and clinical audiology.
The Au.D. /Ph.D. Program is designed to offer a path for those interested in Clinical Research to earn both doctoral degrees within approximately six years. The primary objective is to produce research audiologists competent to perform the wide array of diagnostic, remedial and other services associated with the practice of audiology as well as conduct independent research in the area of hearing science and clinical audiology.
The Doctor of Audiology program at the University of South Florida is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
Potential sources of funding include Graduate Assistantships, Fellowships, Scholarships, and Research Assistantships. Individuals who apply for Fall admission will automatically be considered for a graduate assistantship upon admission. Graduate assistantships cover most of a student's tuition and provide a biweekly stipend.
