Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities Conference (CUMU)

The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities was founded with the purpose of bringing together Presidents and University Leaders to share, discuss, and debate important issues facing our unique institutions.

Jim Walter Partnership Center was invited to present for the 7th year in a row on October 27th, 2013 in Louisville, KY. The conference title was "Transforming and Sustaining Communities through Partnerships." JWPC presented an overview on "Leveraging a Community Engaged Educational Partnership through Federal Work Study: The Success of College Link".

Members of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities are focused by fully understanding the distinctiveness of their mission through conferences, a journal, research projects, creation of a policy agenda and regular networking opportunities. The CUMU institution serves the diverse needs of local communities and regions.
