What Is CampU?

CampU is a 3-day, 2-night, off-campus experience for new students, scheduled for August 10-12, 2017. Campers participate in fun, interactive, and social activities rooted in the four pillars of the program: Friendship, Tradition, Identity, and Purpose. What is CampU ACE?

CampU ACE is a separate CampU session for new students involved in the Summer Academic and Cultural Engagement Program (ACE) program at USF. CampU ACE is scheduled for July 13-15, 2017. This opportunity will be focused on enhancing USF pride along with exploring your natural talents, skills, and strengths. By discovering what it means to be a leader at USF, students will advance their understanding of diversity and global awareness.

Why CampU?

By attending CampU, you will build strong bonds with new friends, learn USF traditions, and explore your personal strengths. Attendees feel supported by peer mentors, develop an involvement plan for the upcoming year, obtain knowledge of academic programs and research/employment options to explore, and gain confidence to be successful their first semester!

Where is CampU Held?

For the fifth year, CampU will be held at the DaySpring Conference Center in Parrish, FL. Hosting CampU at an off-campus location provides students with an exciting, intimate experience during which they can enjoy themselves in a natural setting. All students, staff and counselors travel to CampU together from the USF campus via transportation provided by NSC.

How Much Does CampU Cost?

$200 covers the CampU registration fee. To offer the lowest price possible, we only accept registration with payment. This fee is non-refundable. Thanks to USF alumni, we are able to provide financial assistance to a limited number of students. Priority will be given to Pell Grant recipients, but all applicants will be considered. With financial aid, participants are asked to cover $50 of the registration fee, and the remaining $150 is waived.

You're Registered, Now What?

After registering, participants will receive an e-mail that includes information on arrival/return details, what to pack, directions for check-in, required travel forms, and instructions to complete the StrengthsQuest Inventory.
