USF Health Celebrates Match Day with Monica Stevens: A Journey of Dedication

On Match Day 2024, the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine spotlights the journey of Monica Stevens, a fourth-year student stepping into the next chapter of her medical career.

“I would say Match Day is probably one of the most important days of medical school,” Stevens said. “It’s when you learn where you’re going to be doing your residency training.”

Her tenure at USF Health has been marked by her roles as co-class president, one of the directors of the continuity clinic, and parent to two children

“The culture is supportive and the students feel capable to pursue their academic career goals and then also their personal goals,” Stevens said.

Match Day is a milestone not only for Monica Stevens but also for all her peers. This day celebrates the end of their medical school journey and the beginning of their residency.
