Two-time University of South Florida College of Nursing alumna Patricia A. Quigley, PhD, APRN, CRRN, FAAN, FAANP, FARN, has been recognized for a lifetime of service over her 50 years of nursing. On July 31, 2025, the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) honored Quigley with the 2025 Distinguished Service Award.

She has spent five decades shaping the field of rehabilitation nursing and inspiring generations of nurses." said Usha Menon, PhD, RN, FAAN, FSBM, senior associate vice president at USF Health and dean of the University of South Florida College of Nursing. "This national recognition is a testament to the extraordinary impact she has made on both the profession and the communities we serve."
This award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to rehabilitation nursing and to the organization. This award is given to a member who has demonstrated leadership by participating in ARN activities on a national, regional, and chapter level.
Association of Rehabilitation Nurses
Quigley has been a member of the Florida State Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (FSARN) for 48 years, serving as President in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She was instrumental in the creation of the West Coast Chapter of FSARN and contributed to the organization on a national level with an analysis of core competencies of rehabilitation nursing.
She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (2006), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (2010), and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (2019, inaugural class).
Quigley graduated from USF in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and went on to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 1982. She has worked as a rehabilitation clinical specialist, an advanced nurse practitioner, and a nurse scientist. She earned her Master of Public Health at the USF College of Public Health in 2006.
