Teacher Certification

Get Certified!

USF College of Education students who graduate from an initial teacher preparation programs are immediately eligible for a five-year professional Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) teaching certificate upon application and fingerprint clearance. In addition, many of our graduates will satisfy requirements toward eligibility of an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement (External Link). Initial Certification Application

Certification Renewal

Renew your certification by reviewing the Florida Department of Education's Florida Educator Certification Renewal Requirements (External Link) and apply for renewal (External Link). Once you have received your Statement of Eligibility, contact Student Academic Services, Debbie Rook at rook@usf.edu.
