Daphne D. Thomas, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Exceptional Student Education. She holds a Doctoral degree in Special Education from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Atlanta University School of Social Work.

Dr. Thomas has conducted research and published in the areas of families of children with disabilities, home-school collaboration, multi-cultural education, and cross-cultural teacher preparation. She teaches courses at the undergraduate and master’s levels and serves on a number of doctoral dissertation committees.
