PCGS Students Visiting Jabil Inc. as Part of the Sustainable Business Program

In October, Dr. Pradeep Haldar, PCGS Professor, and PCGS students took part in an exciting visit to Jabil. This field trip was a part of the ESG for Sustainable Business course taught by Dr. Haldar. The special trip was hosted by Jabil’s Linda Weber, Global Sustainability Engagement Manager, and Girish Wable, Senior Engineering Services Manager. The PCGS team was given a tour of Jabil’s Headquarters and Innovation Center. During the visit, the hosts gave a wonderful presentation of Jabil’s world-class achievements in their sustainability initiatives, ESG reports, and other volunteer services. The visit provided our PCGS students with valuable experience and understanding of activities undertaken by large manufacturing businesses to achieve their sustainable goals. It also offers our students the opportunity to develop essential knowledge and skills for their future career in sustainability.

Jabil is a $33 billion leading electronic manufacturing solution provider with over 260,000 employees across 100 locations in 30 countries. At Jabil, sustainability is the integration of environmental health, social equity, governance, and economic growth to create thriving, healthy, diverse, and resilient business operations for our employees and the communities in which we live and work. The continued collaboration between PCGS and Jabil will be mutually beneficial to both organizations to support their missions.
