Mailbox and Contract Unit

Where can I purchase stamps?

There are three US Postal Service facilities close to the USF Tampa campus:

Temple Terrace

8761 N. 56th Street

Will I still get mail delivered to my mailbox?

Yes, we will continue to sort all incoming mail for our mailbox holders into their current mailbox.

 

Will you still service the green mailbox for the USPS?

We will continue to pick up from this mailbox at 4:00 PM daily.

 

Can anyone continue to pick up packages?

Everyone can pick up his or her own packages between the hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. If other arrangements need to be made please contact us at 813-974-2606 or bulkmail@usf.edu.

 

When do you expect the Contract Unit to reopen?

This will be determined by USF administration, who are closely monitoring the situation.

 

Can I open a new mailbox at your location?

Not at this time. Once we reopen, we will be glad to assist you with a new mailbox rental.

 

Can I rent a mailbox from you online?

No, we do not have that capability at this time.

 

Can I renew my mailbox while your location is closed?

No, as we are not collecting money at this time. 

 

Can we still bring prepaid packages to your location?

Yes, you can still bring prepaid packages to our location. Bring the packages to the side door by the newspaper stand.

Department Mail

Will Department deliveries of mail/packages continue?

At the current time, a process is in place for department mail. You can find an Authorization Form on our website for Department Mail pickup.

 

What hours can we retrieve our packages/Department mail?

Everyone can pick up his or her own packages between the hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. If other arrangements need to be made please contact us at 813-974-2606 or bulkmail@usf.edu. You can find an Authorization Form on our website for Department Mail pickup. 

 

Can I bring Department mail with a Mail Service Document for processing?

Yes, we will except and process any department mail that you bring to our location. If you need a Mail Service Document, we can provide you one to fill out.

 

Will Residence Hall’s Mail Centers continue to receive mail/packages.

We continue to provide mail service to the Residence Mail Centers as usual.

 

Will someone contact the departments when deliveries resume?

Yes, a notification will be sent to departments when the USF Post Office resumes its services.

Permit Mail

Can we have permit mailings be delivered and processed for departments?

We are continuing to receive and process all Permit mail requests by the departments. If you have further questions please send them to bulkmail@usf.edu
