USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Faculty Council

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.

Greetings from the Sarasota-Manatee campus! You may wonder what the campus is named after two counties instead of one and that’s because we sit almost directly on the county line (northern for Sarasota; southern for Manatee). As a council, the USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Faculty Council represents and addresses issues that occur on, and are exclusive to, the campus. That means that for many faculty on the Tampa or St. Petersburg campus’ you may never interact with us but we want you to know that we are here if you need us!

Over the last year, we identified strategic “hubs” that our campus faculty contribute to and that also feed up into the larger mission of the institution, including health across the lifespan, business, and early/pre-university programs. We also sought to identify and address some of the unique issues that the campus faculty have faced following consolidation, including navigating new department and college-level structures. We are continuing that work this year while also working to further enhance our campus profile through supporting investments into the hubs. Finally, we are working to identify ways to improve faculty onboarding processes to ensure new members of the campus faculty feel they have a home on our campus.
