Corridor partnership expands undergraduate research and advances experiential learning at USFExternal Article Title

The Florida High Tech Corridor and USF Research & Innovation are expanding opportunities for undergraduate research across the University of South Florida, funding programs in all 14 colleges, USF St. Petersburg, and Undergraduate Studies for 2025–26. Through the continued Corridor Undergraduate Research Initiative, more than 200 students will gain hands-on, faculty-mentored research experience in disciplines ranging from engineering and artificial intelligence to public health, education, sustainability, and the arts.

Moez Limayem unanimously selected by USF Board of Trustees as the university’s next president

Moez Limayem currently serves as president of the University of North Florida and was the Lynn Pippenger Dean of the Muma College of Business at USF for 10 years. His appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Board of Governors (BOG), which oversees the State University System.

USF climbs to its highest position ever in U.S. News rankings

The University of South Florida has reached an all-time high in U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the best colleges. USF is No. 88 overall among all public or private universities in America, up from No. 91 last year. USF also rose to No. 43 among public universities, up two spots from last year, and inside the top 50 for the seventh year in a row.

USF Honors College Strengthens 9-Year Partnership with Kerolle Initiative in Dominican Republic

The Judy Genshaft Honors College continues to build on a decade-long partnership with the Kerolle Initiative in the Dominican Republic, a local non-profit pop-up clinic that brings medical care and health education to rural populations. This year, Honors students expanded research beyond the trip, and the college recognized Dr. Reginald Kerolle as an official Honors “graduate.”
