Families and Guests

Parents and Families

Welcome to the Bulls Family! Your student has decided to attend USF and join the Bulls family, which means that you are a member of our family too. Family members and guests of incoming students play an important role in their student's transition to the University of South Florida. We recognize the support you need as well, so we have designed a program to meet your specific needs and concerns, whether this is your first student in college or you are an alumni of USF. During Orientation, you will have the opportunity to learn about resources available on campus, hear from your student's academic college, discover ways to help your student's success in and out of the classroom, and meet other families and guests.

We recognize that you may have concerns about being separated from your student for most of the day, but we have developed this separate, but concurrent programming track to provide a more meaningful experience to you and your student. We are confident that this model provides everyone with the most accurate and relevant information, while supporting their individual needs.

We are excited for you to join one of our many Orientation dates. When your student registers for Orientation they may add you and additional guests to their reservation. If your student already registered for Orientation, but did not add a guest, they may go back in to their reservation and update it accordingly. *Please note, session reservations are currently closed. For Summer/Fall admits, session reservations will be available on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 9:00am EST.

Family members and guests who attend the Orientation session will receive an electronic confirmation packet (in PDF form) through the student's MyOrientation reservation. Please work with your student to download their e-confirmation packet, as well as the Parent and Family e-confirmation packet. This e-confirmation packet will include detailed information about the session and necessary arrival information, including a parking permit. You will receive additional details via email preparing you for your arrival prior to Orientation. Do not hesitate to reach out to our office by calling 813-974-3060 with any questions you have.
