Families and Guests
*If you are attending Orientation for Spring 2022, please check back later for specific information regarding your sessions and other important information.*
Welcome to the Bulls Family! Your student has decided to attend USF and join the Bulls family, which means that you are a member of our family too. Family members and guests of incoming students play an important role in their student's transition to the University of South Florida. We recognize the support you need as well, so we have designed a program to meet your specific needs and concerns, whether this is your first student in college or you are an alumni of USF. By way of the Pre-Orientation course via Canvas Catalog, the Live Synchronous Orientation session in Microsoft Teams and the on-campus Orientation session being hosted on Friday, January 7, 2022, you will have the opportunity to learn about resources available on campus, hear about academic, policies, processes and systems and discover ways to help your student's success in and out of the classroom.
When your student registers for Orientation they may add you and additional guests to their reservation. This will give you access to the Orientation sessions specifically designe for the families and guests of our newest Bulls. If your student already registered for Orientation, but did not add a guest, they may go back in to their reservation and update it accordingly.
Family members and guests who attend the Orientation session will receive an electronic confirmation packet (in PDF form) through the student's myOrientation reservation. Please work with your student to download their e-confirmation packet, as well as the Family and Guest e-confirmation packet. This e-confirmation packet will include detailed information about the Orientation session, including a parking permit for the on-campus Orientation session taking place on Friday, January 7, 2022. While you will receive more details via email, do not hesitate to reach out to our office by calling 813-974-3060 with any questions you have.
