About the Tampa Bay Educational Partnership
The Tampa Bay Educational Partnership (TBEP) serves as the liaison between University
of South Florida (USF) Tampa Campus colleges and the Hillsborough County Public Schools
(HCPS) to facilitate collaborative research projects and grants. To propose a partnership,
please fill out our partner request form.
HCPS is the eighth largest school district in the nation serving more than 194,000 students in 142 elementary schools, 44 middle schools, 27 high schools, and 4 career centers. USF is one of only 41 public research universities nationwide with high research activity designated as a community engaged university by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. TBEP is proud to facilitate collaborative projects that will further strengthen the long relationship between these two outstanding institutions.
Working with the USF Provost Office and the HCPS executive leadership, TBEP's main responsibility is to assist both institutions in working together to leverage expertise to support interdisciplinary research and funding opportunities to achieve our respective goals in impacting student success. TBEP was created to build upon and extend opportunities for collaboration that benefit the two institutions and the entire Tampa Bay area community.
To facilitate and coordinate research related activities, TBEP provides a digital database portal (DDP) that serves as a central location to store and organize research partnerships between HCPS and USF colleges and departments.
