How do I Sign Up?

USF has implemented the PeopleSoft Learning & Development module for the USF Division of Environmental Health and Safety. Through GEMS USF employees are able to view and sign up for trainings through their self service portal. Sign Up is only needed for in-person EHS trainings. Users are able to click links for access to EHS online trainings.

Cart/Utility Vehicle Safety Education

This training outlines requirements for the use of electric or gas-powered carts and/ or similar utility type vehicles (carts) on all non-public roads of all locations within the USF System. For USF Employees with NetIDs please click on the appropriate link to the right. Golf Cart Safety Reaffirmation

Please send this document to David Isaac at to reaffirm that you have read and understand the safety procedures for USF Golf Cart Safety. This is an annual requirement if you choose not to retake the course.

Occupational Safety Education

The mission of the EH&S Training Program is to provide guidance to USF faculty, staff and students to help them protect themselves and the environment. By increasing the Environmental Health and Safety knowledge of the USF community through education, we strive to increase compliance with applicable standards and decrease the number of accidents recorded at our University.

Lab Safety Education

These courses cover the basic principles of keeping laboratories safe. It is offered to faculty, staff, students, and volunteers that work in USF laboratories. Topics covered include chemical hazards, chemical storage, chemical and biological waste management, and accident management.

Fire Safety Education

Fire Prevention Safety Training provides training and public fire education services to the University of South Florida. Fire safety provides effective leadership, coordination and support for fire prevention and suppression programs by promoting fire and life safety issues through education. It is our goal to focus on fire prevention to reduce the possibility of injury or death from fire.
