Florida Adult Forensic Examiner Training

This three-day workshop is designed for psychologists and psychiatrists who evaluate criminal defendants in Florida courts.

Forensic Evaluation and Juvenile Justice

This workshop will address the legal, clinical, and administrative issues related to evaluating children who are involved in the juvenile justice system.

Co-Occurring Disorders- Online Training

This training series offers a comprehensive overview for counselors on topics related to assessing and treating persons with co-occurring disorders. A certificate of completion is available at no cost. Continuing Education Credits are available for a fee for some categories of licensed professionals in Florida including Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Addiction Professionals.

Fee-Based Courses Licensed through NetSmart

A series of basic skill modules have been offered by training staff to the behavioral healthcare agencies in the State of Florida. These modules are not for licensed professionals and are not offered for Continuing Education Credit. They are however very useful for frontline caregivers in mental health and substance abuse treatment programs. Modules can be purchased at a very reasonable rate through the following vendor.

National Center on Homelessness Among Vets

USF is partnering with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) and the University of Pennsylvania to establish the National Center on Homelessness Among Veterans. The primary goal of the Center is to develop, promote, and enhance policy, clinical care research, and education to improve homeless services so that Veterans may live as independently and self-sufficiently as possible in a community of their choosing.
