Strengthening the quality of education is one of the most pressing challenges the country faces today. The David C. Anchin Center for the Advancement of Teaching serves the state of Florida and the nation by providing research findings on key education policy issues and expertise that can inform decision-making at local, state and national levels.

By supporting a topical policy group, we bring leading experts together to examine issues that emerge and processes that occur at many levels of the education system—from the statehouse to the schoolhouse, and from Congress to the classroom. As a result, we share best practices in education reform with local, state, and national policymakers, and we are able to provide useful information and resources to educational practitioners, parents, and the greater community.

These policy conversations between various stakeholders facilitate interactions that lead to education reform. Our work primarily raises and responds to urban education policy questions from around the world.
