Jobs & Internships

Overview

Are you ready to apply the knowledge you have learned in the classroom and obtain practical real-world experience? The department works hard to connect qualified students with internship and job opportunities while enrolled at USF as well as after graduation. We actively search for job and internships opportunities that closely fit your experiences as well as educational background.

Why participate in an Internship? Internships are important to mechanical engineering students to prepare for careers in private industry, government and even research. They link the gap between theory and practice, and provide students with real-world experiences. Internships may be paid or unpaid, and have the option for credit. While paid, not-for-credit internships may begin anytime during the semester, internships for credit are linked to the academic calendar. Awarding credit for an internship is at the discretion of your academic advisor.
