USF Diversity Network

The Next Diversity Network Meeting is August 21, 2008
8:30 am - 10:00 am in the The Alumni Center Board Room


The purpose of the Diversity Network is to strengthen the diversity infrastructure that facilitates meeting USF’s strategic goals related to diversity and equal opportunity, and provide technical assistance to support University professionals engaged in diversity and equal opportunity initiatives.

What is the Diversity Network?
The Diversity Network is a structure that supports comprehensive institutional diversity and equal opportunity programs and initiatives under the auspices of the Diversity and Equal Opportunity Office (DEO) and the Office of the Provost.

What is the purpose of the Diversity Network?
The purpose of the Diversity Network is to strengthen the diversity infrastructure that facilitates meeting USF’s strategic goals related to diversity and equal opportunity, and provide technical assistance to support University professionals engaged in diversity and equal opportunity initiatives.

What are the benefits of the Diversity Network?
  • Improve linkages between, and among diversity/equal opportunity programs University wide
  • Maximize communication and dialogue about diversity/equal opportunity programs and initiatives university wide
  • Enhance diversity/equal opportunity programs and initiatives as a result of increased collaboration, dissemination and consolidation of activities
  • Serve as on going focus group on diversity/equal opportunity issues for the university community
  • Increase awareness of diversity/equal opportunity resources university wide
  • Develop leaders in diversity/equal opportunity
When will the Diversity Network meet?
The Diversity Network will gather the third Thursday of each month, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, in the boardroom of the Sam and Martha Gibbons Alumni Center.

How to become an Associate?
Network Associates are comprised of USF professionals engaged in diversity initiatives. Any associate can bring a guest to the monthly gatherings, including community partners.

On March 27th, 2003, the Diversity and Equal Opportunity office launched USF's Diversity Network with a half-day event at the Lifsey House.
