Alternative text is required course materials, textbooks, electronic documents, exams, and other print materials students need converted into accessible formats. Accessible formats include PDF, RTF (Rich text format), and DOC (document). Large print and Braille resources are also available.
Creating alternative eText takes up to 4 weeks for SDS to produce. Students and instructors can minimize delays by requesting necessary course materials as early as possible.
The eText guide contains procedures for purchasing and requesting eText, online resources, and information on recommended electronic text reader programs.
