Fees & Insurance
Student Health Fee
The health fee is included in the USF Tampa tuition – so if you are a registered student who has paid tuition, you've paid the fee. This fee helps to offset your medical costs, which means you can see a healthcare provider with no out-of-pocket charge for the general office visit. If your appointment involves tests or specialty procedures, the health fee allows for those to be at discounted rates. It also provides you with free services from the Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention, Counseling Center and Center for Student Well-Being.
The Health Fee is not insurance.
Registered students have no out-of-pocket charge for visits with providers (physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, dietitian) because they are covered by the paid Health Fee (included in the cost of tuition.) The fees for specialty procedures, medications, lab tests, medical supplies, immunization shots and allergy injections are additional. Some fees may be covered by your medical insurance; check your policy. We understand that students may have limited financial resources and make every effort to keep additional charges affordable. The Fee Schedule does not list low-volume services; these are charged on a case-by-case basis.
