What We Do

We realize and implement big ideas for the public sector.

We transform initiatives into credible action plans with our policy expertise as a cohort of the USF School of Public Affairs.

  • We provide training and technical assistance to code enforcement officers, city clerks, elected and appointed local and state governmental officials, volunteers and the general public.
  • We partner with a variety of university professionals and organizational leaders charged with solving specific local issues to identify, evaluate and implement effective solutions.

Our mission is to increase the effectiveness and quality of government in Florida through applied research, training, technical assistance programs and public service.

As part of a regional structure for enhanced relationships, we serve government and non-profit entities within a 9- county region including Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota.

  • We serve the State of Florida through a regional structure for enhanced relationships as well as various statewide programs.

  • We offer high-quality, affordable programs and services tailored to the specific needs of each government community's service area.

  • We encourage affiliates to work closely with their local constituent groups to plan and implement a unique selection of programs within their region.

  • We offer internships and assistantships to students who are interested in public service careers and co-sponsor academic scholarships with various local government associations.
