Application Overview

At the University of South Florida discover a community that embraces and encourages your passion for music. We are happy to help you through the application process.

Admission to the School of Music at USF is a two-step process. To be considered for acceptance, all prospective students must complete their application in the following order:

Step 1: Apply for admission to the University of South Florida.

To begin your admission application to the University of South Florida, please refer to the USF Office of Admissions website for requirements, deadlines, and information on how to apply. The links below will guide you through the requirements for admission for your specific academic status:

Step 2. Apply for a School of Music audition/interview.

Note: there is a $30 application fee to submit your application.

Simply upload your audition videos to GetAcceptd for USF. All auditions received prior to February 17, 2024 are eligible for scholarship consideration. All auditions received after February 17th will be evaluated on a rolling basis.

To complete your School of Music application you will need your U-Number (a unique University ID Number that is generated for you once you submit your online university application). You do not have to wait for a university admission decision in order to apply to the School of Music and schedule your audition.

To prepare for your audition, visit the Audition Requirements page to find out what you will need.

Undergraduate Music applicants will also need to obtain the name and email address of at least one Reference - Music Director or Private Instructor (maximum of three).

Graduate Music applicants will need to obtain the names and email addresses of at least two References (maximum of three) relevant to the field of study for which you are applying.

Should you have any questions, please contact us.

Live Audition Option

Our live audition days have now passed; however, prospective students may contact our studio faculty to request a live audition.

Announce-A-Bull Day
