ST. PETERSBURG (March 8, 2021) -- Junior finance major Brendan Fritz grew up around real estate. He spent many summers working at his father’s construction company. Those early experiences led to Fritz's interest in real estate and the tangible aspects of the home building process. In high school, his internship with a real estate developer introduced him to the commercial side of the industry.

During the summer of 2020, Fritz landed an internship with PWC in public accounting, an experience that allowed him to learn about another career option. However, he found himself drawn back to real estate, this time with an interest in the investing side. This summer, Fritz will be interning with Goldman Sachs’ real estate investing team in Dallas.

Fritz serves as the chair of the USF Sports Club Council and president of the Real Estate Society. Before the pandemic, the Real Estate Society hosted several in person events a year. This past month, the society hosted their first virtual workshop with Meritage Homes with future events coming soon.

Aside from school and his multiple leadership positions on campus, Fritz coaches youth lacrosse.

“I love it, getting out there and preparing these young guys to be better players and people,” he said. It is about more than just lacrosse, he said. "I have gotten to know them well, I am always checking in to see how they are doing not only with sports but in school and try to share the insight that I received from the great coaches I have had.”
