Research Spotlight - Uday Murthy

Uday Murthy's studies data modeling and design methodologies for accounting systems, auditing computer-based systems, expert systems, and group support systems in accounting. His research has been published or accepted for publication in scholarly journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Information Systems, and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory.

Murthy is currently investigating whether providing relative performance information feedback and framing the feedback in a positive or negative manner induces performance improvements in a repetitive task. He is also evaluating designs for online interactive financial statements that allow user-controlled access to disaggregated information about firm performance.
