Regional construction firms helped build and validate the curriculum, so the scenarios, numbers and documents reflect current practice on Florida jobsites.

See the Work in the Field

Two construction site visits let you see the project management decisions you study playing out on an active build.

Learn From Construction Company Owners

Two live sessions with construction company owners, which you can join in person or remotely, bring real stories of what went right, what went wrong and how they handled it.

Practice the Hard Conversations

Thirteen scenario-based experiences put you in the hard conversations of the job: an owner asking for the honest schedule, a subcontractor's missing scope, a change order the owner does not want to pay. You practice where mistakes cost nothing.

Build a Capstone Portfolio

Each week adds to one project portfolio, from the first estimate to the warranty plan, giving you work you can show an employer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a construction management degree or prior project management experience?

No. Every industry term is defined the first time it appears, so field experience is helpful but not required. The certificate suits field professionals moving into management and career changers alike.

How much time does it take each week?

Plan on about 4 hours a week for the online coursework, which is self-paced within each week, plus time for your weekly portfolio work. The site visits and live sessions are scheduled separately.

Are the site visits and live sessions required?

They are optional opportunities and strongly encouraged. Live sessions can be joined in person or remotely.

How do I earn the certificate?

You earn the certificate and digital badge when your final capstone portfolio assignment and the final assessment each score 75 percent or higher.

Is this the same as a professional license or a PMP® credential?

No. This is a non-credit, workforce-focused certificate that builds practical construction project management skills. It does not grant a contractor's license or a PMI credential.

What will you build next?

A new career. Greater responsibility. New connections. Opportunities you haven't even imagined yet.
Your potential is already there. Let's see where it can take you.
