Master of Education
The M.Ed. in Educational Leadership is a state-approved 30-hour program that provides course work and internships leading to Florida Level 1 Educational Leadership Certification. The program aligns with Educational Leadership and Policy Studies' mission and goals, which emphasize equity and research utilization, as well as the Florida Principal Leadership Standards, which emphasize instructional leadership for student learning and achievement.
The Ed.S. in Educational Leadership is a 30-hour program designed for experienced leaders who already possess leadership certification and are seeking to develop their capacity to lead "turnaround" or lower performing schools. This is an advanced graduate degree program; the Ed.S. Degree is ranked one step above the Master's Degree and one step below the Doctoral Degree.
Doctor of Philosophy
The Ph.D. in Educational Leadership is designed for those individuals who intend to build an academic, consulting, or policy career focused on conducting research and analysis in the multidisciplinary field of educational leadership and policy studies, or to build an administrative career focused on innovative and inquiry-based leadership.
