Nomination Deadline has been Extended for College of Education Distinguished Alumni Awards

Nominations are now open for the University of South Florida (USF) College of Education's 2023 Distinguished Alumni Awards program.

Each year, the College of Education is proud to present three alumni awards to recognize the outstanding achievements of graduates who have made a positive impact in the field of education.

Alumni, staff, faculty, students and friends of the university are welcome to nominate College of Education graduates from across all three USF campuses for these prestigious awards. The nomination process has been extended and will remain open until noon, March 27, 2023.

The criteria for each of the three awards are listed below.

The Dean’s Lifetime Achievement Alumni Award recognizes an individual who has graduated from the USF College of Education and who has demonstrated long-term contributions, achievement, and service within Education or a related profession – locally, statewide, regionally, nationally, and/or globally.

The Spirit of Partnership Alumni Award recognizes an individual who has graduated from the USF College of Education and who has created and sustained partnerships within the community, within the college, and/or between the community and the college to promote and advance the field of education.

The Young Educator Alumni Award recognizes graduates of the College of Education who serve as exemplary leaders and role models in the field of education among their peers and in their communities. Nominees must have graduated from USF within the last 10 years and be 35 years old or younger.

A committee including faculty, staff and alumni of the College of Education will select the recipients. Nominees will be notified in April of their selection as award recipients. All award winners will be recognized at a ceremony in May during National Teacher Appreciation Week.
