CRJ Resolution

white text on green background

The Faculty Senate Council on Racial Justice presented this resolution for the consideration of the Faculty Senate, which was unanimously approved 12/1/2021.

The resolution highlights concerns about a progression of amendments and legislation which threaten academic freedom, the cultural climate at USF for faculty, staff and students, and further makes faculty and staff who teach and train on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion, critical race theory and other pedagogical and scientific theories vulnerable. The resolution asks USF leadership to issue a public statement in opposition to these highlighted bills, amendments, and pieces of legislation and to make a clear declaration of support for USF faculty and staff who teach in these areas.
