The Honors and Awards Council (HAC) is responsible for conveying to the Faculty Senate, the Provost, and President the names it recommends for receiving various academic honors and awards granted by or through the University of South Florida. More information about the council can be found here.
Each year HAC solicits nominations for the following awards:
- Askounes Ashford Distinguished Scholar Award
- Distinguished Service Award
- Excellence in Research Award (Pre-tenure and Tenured)
- Honorary Degree
- Kosove Distinguished Teaching and Service Award (Graduate and Undergraduate)
- Krivanek Distinguished Teacher Award
Award recipients are recognized annually at the Faculty Honors and Awards Reception hosted by the Office of the Provost, except for Honorary Degrees which are awarded at commencement ceremonies.
The nomination process for Honorary Degrees for the Fall 2022 semester is currently open, review the deadlines and required documents.
Solicitation for other awards will be sent at the beginning of the fall semester, but we encourage you to review the awards listed above and their relevant guidelines.
