Council Vacancies and Applications

The Faculty Senate is focused on populating college vacancies on the various councils. A living list of vacancies is available here and you can learn more the councils on the council page. If you are interested in filling a vacancy, please fill out the nomination form and submit it to fsenate@usf.edu.

Legislative updates

Last spring a significant amount of legislation impacting education across levels in the state of Florida. Faculty Senate President Jenifer Jasinski Schneider compiled a list of the bills and a summary to help raise awareness and understanding around the bills.

Twitter

The Faculty Senate launched a Twitter account to help share quick bits of information and relevant links. Follow the Faculty Senate at @USF_Fac_Senate.

Job Searches

Provost – In the last two weeks finalists came to campus and hosted town halls. Feedback on these candidates is being compiled for review by President Law.

VP – DEI – A search committee and firm have been identified and are working on a position description. The Faculty Senate and the Council on Racial Justice each had a meeting to provide feedback on the position and candidate profile.

USF Sarasota-Manatee DEI Officer – The USF Sarasota-Manatee campus is also hiring for a campus diversity officer. The application is open, and faculty are encouraged to share the position widely with their networks.
