The Florida Certification Board (FCB)

The Florida Certification Board (FCB) mission is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Florida by regulating our certified professionals through experience, education and compliance.

The FCB designs, develops and manages programs for 32 health and human services professions, ensuring that they meet education, training, experience and testing criteria. FCB certifies more than 20,000 professionals statewide, including those in the child welfare, mental health and addiction fields.

  • The FCB establishes, administers, and monitors certification programs in addictions, mental health, behavioral health, child welfare, and prevention. New professions are continually added.
  • The FCB actively participates in legislative advocacy, ensuring that our partners have a voice in the political process.
  • The FCB has established one of the country's most successful Political Action Committee funds.
  • The FCB administers programs directly related to workforce development.
