FTCE - Florida Teacher Certification Examinations

Florida law requires that teachers demonstrate mastery of basic skills, professional knowledge, and content area of specialization. If you are currently a student, you should consult your college advisor about testing requirements. A valid Statement of Status of Eligibility issued by the Bureau of Educator Certification will advise you of your individual testing requirements. For information on certification, visit the Florida Department of Education's Bureau of Educator

More information on these exams can be found at the FTCE website.

Format

All FTCE examinations are administered via a computer-based program in the USF Testing Services office. Examinees will complete a tutorial before taking the actual test, allowing time to become familiar with the format of the exam. At the conclusion of the test, examinees will receive unofficial score results for any multiple-choice tests taken. Official score reports are posted to examinee accounts on the score report date according to the FCTE schedule. You will be notified via email when your score report is available in your account. Your score report will be accessible for 60 days to view, print, and save for your records.
