Applicant Self-Disclosures
The application process limits requests for information to prior conduct and academic information. In the event an Applicant independently and voluntarily discloses additional personal information such as past emotional trauma, physical disabilities, or mental health challenges as part of a personal essay or statement, the self-disclosure of unsolicited personal information will not be considered a student report and those self-disclosures may not result in University initiated referrals for intervention or student support services. In the event an Applicant is admitted, at the time of full enrollment a student may initiate contact with the available student success offices for support or guidance.
Recruitment Practices
The University of South Florida does not provide commission, bonus, or other incentive payment based directly or indirectly on securing the enrollment of U.S. citizens or permanent residents or federal financial aid (including Tuition Assistance funds) to any persons or entities engaged in recruiting U.S. citizens or permanent residents, admission activities, or making decisions regarding the award of student financial assistance. In addition, USF does not engage high-pressure recruitment tactics such as making multiple unsolicited contacts (3 or more), including contacts by phone, email, or in-person, or engage in same day recruitment and registration for U.S citizens or permanent residents.
