John Bowers

John Bowers
Residency: Development at USF Athletic Department

John Bowers is from Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2010 with an honors bachelor's degree in economics. John previously worked for Madison Square Garden Sports as a consultant and Alta Ventures Mexico as a fundraising associate. Upon graduating from the Sport & Entertainment Management program, he wants to work for a collegiate athletics department in development and eventually become an athletic director for a division I program.

Brynn Frazier

Brynn Frazier
Residency: Partnership Activation at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Brynn Frazier grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in mass communications/advertising and a minor in leadership. She previously worked for Tampa Bay Lighting as a partnership activation game day intern, Swenson Construction as the large account manager, and the City of Oldsmar as a recreation coordinator. Currently she is the partnership activation resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation she wants to work in partnership service and activation for a professional sports team or event venue.

Abhyona Grant

Abhyona Grant
Residency: Sport Marketing at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Abhyona K. Grant was raised in Lakeland, Fla. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and a minor in business administration. She previously worked for Publix Super Markets as an assistant to the real estate manager for the Atlanta division, City of Lakeland Parks and Recreation as a recreation leader, and Macy's Stores as an entry level sales floor manager. Currently she is the marketing resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation she wants to work for Live Nation, AEG or an arena/forum and eventually become a senior marketing executive/brand marketer for an agency, arena, or forum.

Jamie Grant

Jamie Grant
Residency: Tampa Bay Sports Commission

Jamie Grant grew up in St. Petersburg, Fla. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in business management and a minor in marketing.  She began her career in the sports industry as a group sales executive for the Atlanta Hawks in Thrashers. After two and a half years in that role, she took on a new challenge as the senior coordinator of community relations for the Atlanta Hawks. Currently she works at the Tampa Bay Sports Commission on the first ever event incubator-- the Event Development Institute. Upon graduation she wants to work for a sports marketing agency or a league office and eventually be in a management role.

Katie Hatch

Katie Hatch
Residency: Marketing and Production at Fox Sports Florida

Katie Hatch grew up in Boone, N.C. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in broadcasting and a minor in psychology. She previously worked for the University of South Florida under Sport and Entertainment Management Director Bill Sutton as his graduate assistant, the Tampa Bay Championship as a graduate assistant in merchandising, Centerplate as the human resources generalist/non-profit coordinator, the Tampa Bay Rays as a ticket sales representative, and the New York/St. Lucie Mets as the manager of group sales & community relations. Currently she is the resident for FOX Sports Florida. Upon graduation she wants to work for a sports marketing agency and eventually become a marketing executive for a professional sports league.

Kasey Holbrook

Kasey Holbrook
Residency: Business Strategy and Analytics at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Kasey Holbrook grew up in Bradenton, Fla. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in finance and a minor in economics. After gradating with his BA, he got a summer internship with the Tampa Bay Rays. Currently, he is the business analytics resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. After graduation he hopes to do analytics for a professional hockey team or for Ticketmaster. His long-term goal is to work his way up the finance ladder for a hockey team or branch off into sports.

Eric Holland

Eric Holland
Residency: Business and Insight at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Eric Holland grew up in Clearwater, Fla. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in business economics and will again graduate from USF with a MBA & MS in Sport & Entertainment Management in 2014. He currently works for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in business analytics and marketing research. Prior to that he worked at Kass Shuler P.A. as a compliance analyst, World Endurance Sports LLC as the e-store content manager, and Bank of America as a small business sales and service specialist. Upon graduation he wants to work for a professional sport team or marketing agency in business analysis and eventually become an analyst for marketing, finance, or team strategy.

Derrick Hutek

Derrick Hutek
Residency: Legal at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Derrick Hutek grew up in Midland, Mich. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 2005 with a BA in English and American Literature, and from Stetson University College of Law with a JD in 2012. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida. He previously worked for Visual Edge Design as the quality control director; Weekly Vacation Rentals, LLC as director of internet marketing; VeriFone, Inc. as a contract specialist; and interned with the City Attorney of Clearwater and the legal department of Minor League Baseball in St. Petersburg. Currently he is the legal resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation he wants to work in legal and business development for an agency, team, or venue and eventually become an executive for a sports team or league.

Mike Lambert

Mike Lambert
Residency: Tampa Bay Sports Commission

Mike Lambert grew up in Orlando, Fla. He graduated from Flagler College in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. While in the Sport & Entertainment Management program, he worked in residency positions with IRONMAN Triathlon developing VIP and spectator packages and with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission providing event operation, customer service, and partnership support for all events. Upon graduation he wants to work within the endurance event market and eventually go on to own an operation within the industry.

Tony Marasco

Tony Marasco
Residency: Public Relations at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Tony Marasco grew up in Brandon, Fla. He graduated from the Florida State University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in sport management with a minor in communications. He previously worked for Play It Again Sports as a sales associate. Currently he is the public relations resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation he wants to work for a sports marketing agency and eventually become a marketing executive for a sports league.

Josh Momberg

Josh Momberg
Residency: Finance at the Tampa Bay Rays

Prior to enrolling at USF, Josh spent the previous five years working as a manager of business development at Catalina Marketing, a global leader in the development of shopper-driven media campaigns for the world's largest CPG brands. A graduate
of the University of Georgia, Josh received a bachelor's degree in advertising from the Grady College of Journalism in 2008. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL, Josh currently works as a graduate resident for the Tampa Bay Rays in financial planning and business analytics. Upon completion of the program, Josh hopes to pursue a career in business operations or sponsorship sales for a professional sports franchise with an eye toward becoming an executive in the future.

Lauren Natale

Lauren Natale
Residency: Communications and Digital Media at the Women's Tennis Association

Lauren Natale grew up in Virginia Beach, Va. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with bachelor's degrees in communications and marketing management. She previously worked for Virginia Tech Athletics as a marketing intern and Arizona Athletics as a marketing associate. Upon graduation she hopes to work for a sports organization and become an executive manager for sponsorship, marketing, and communications.

Stephen Neldner

Stephen Neldner
Residency: Marketing and Analytics at Feld Entertainment

Stephen Neldner grew up in Tampa, Fla. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in political science with a concentration in international relations. He previously worked for OneTouch Direct as the sales and service call center manager and the College Republican National Committee as the field representative in the states of Oregon and Montana. He is currently the corporate sales resident for Feld Entertainment. After graduation he wants to work in corporate partnership sales for a sports or entertainment organization. Eventually he would like to be the chief marketing officer of a sports organization.

Ed Nickoloff

Residency: Game Presentation at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Ed Nickoloff grew up in Orangeburg, N.Y., just outside of New York City. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and management while also playing on the VCU Club Ice Hockey team. He will graduate with a MBA & MS in Sport & Entertainment Management in 2014. He previously worked for the Richmond Flying Squirrels as a game day intern and St. Thomas Aquinas College Athletics as a game day staff member. He currently works as the game presentation resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. At USF, he plays on the Club Roller Hockey team and assists with the USF Athletics marketing interns. Upon graduation he wants to work for a professional sports team or entertainment company in event management, fan experience, or arena/venue operations.

Amanda Puccinelli

Amanda Puccinelli
Residency: Lightning Foundation at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Amanda Puccinelli grew up in Largo, Fla. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and management. She previously worked for Dick's Sporting Goods as an administrative assistant and interned at the Tampa Bay Lightning and USF Athletics. Upon graduation she wants to work for a professional sports team in community relations.

Donovan Ring

Donovan Ring
Residency: Business Strategy and Analytics at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Donovan Ring grew up in Brandon, Fla. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in business economics. After graduating in 2010, he completed an internship with a market feasibility company providing clients with research and analysis on the economic viability and profitability of proposed residential and military housing development projects. He then spent the next two and a half years working for Verizon Wireless specializing in small business development. Currently he is the business analytics resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation he would like to work for a professional sports organization in business strategy and analytics, eventually working into an executive management role.

Matt Schick

Matt Schick
Residency: Operations Coordinator at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Matt Schick grew up in Chesapeake, Va., and Newbury Park, CA. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in management- entrepreneurship innovation & technology and a minor in leadership studies. He also commissioned as an officer into the United States Navy upon graduation in 2011. Currently he's serving in the Individual Ready Reserve as a LTJG. He previously was active duty in the Navy as a flight student at NAS Pensacola, Fla. During his first year at USF, he worked for Global Spectrum at the USF Sun Dome in guest services and conversion staff. Currently he is the operations coordinator for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation he wants to work for a sport and entertainment venue or sports team in venue/facilities management. His long term goal is to become a general manager/COO of one or multiple sport and entertainment venues.

Aurian Shervington

Residency: Event Marketing at the Tampa Bay Lightning

Aurian Shervington grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and graduated from the University of South Florida in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in political science. She previously worked for the National Academy of Inventors as a graduate assistant and the USF Office of Annual Giving as a student marketing intern. Currently she is the event marketing resident for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Upon graduation she wants to work for a sports and entertainment agency and eventually become a publicist for professional athletes and entertainers.
