As a dual-degree program, what degrees will I receive?

What standardized tests are required in order to apply? What scores are required?

We require that all applicants complete either the GMAT or GRE. Our minimum score for the GMAT and GRE is 520 and 305, respectively.

What materials are necessary to abide by admission requirements?

How long is the program?

Two years including a course during the summer between the first and second year.

What is the required GPA for admissions?

3.0 is the minimum GPA required.

Can I have a full-time job while I'm in school?

We encourage students to focus on academics while in the program since the course schedule is too demanding to maintain a full time position.

Can I just do the Masters of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management?

The MS in Sport and Entertainment Management is not offered independently of the MBA.

What is the residency program?

The entire second year in the SEM program will be on-the-job learning with a residency. Students will be placed with program partner to work on staff from fall of the second year until graduation. Students will be paid hourly and a tuition waiver will be applied. See where our current students are doing their residencies.

What classes will I be taking?

What is the process after all my application materials are submitted?

All materials will be reviewed by the faculty. Select applicants will be invited to attend an on-campus interview. This interview will take place all day and will consist of interviews with current students and program directors.

How are classes structured?

First and second year classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will consist of professional speakers, lectures, group projects, and hands-on experiences. The MBA summer Capstone class will consist of meetings with professors twice each week in addition to group meetings with your team.

Do I have to have a business undergraduate degree to be considered and admitted?

Do you have graduate assistantships? How do I become a GA?

We do have some graduate assistantships available; however, there is no formal application process. When you apply to the program, you are also applying for a GA position – appointments are never on a needs-basis, but on best fit. To be eligible for a position, you must complete your application by the December 31st priority deadline.
