You will spend the year with MESA learning and engaging in an Engineering Design Process to develop a device or project aligned to the annual theme. Our team-based competitions give you the opportunity to showcase your hard work and prototypes at Demo Day, MESA Day, and possibly the National Engineering Design Competition.

Demo Day
Demo Day marks the first event for you and your team to showcase the current progress of your projects or devices.This event helps you to prepare for the statewide competition (MESA Day), meet other MESA students, test your designs, gain feedback, and have fun!

MESA Day - Florida State Engineering Design Competition
MESA Day is our annual competition. Your team will present their design in response to the engineering design challenges provided by Florida MESA. Individual awards are presented to teams that place first through third in each of the competition categories and trophies are presented to the schools that place first through third overall.

National Engineering Design Competition (NEDC)
The National Engineering Design Competition is the national competition hosted by one of the MESA USA states. The location of the national competition varies each year and students who win first place overall at MESA Day are invited to compete on behalf of Florida MESA.
