Overview

The Instructional Technology Program at the University of South Florida offers Master of Education (M.Ed.), Educational Specialist (Ed.S.),and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Curriculum and Instruction with Specialization in Instructional Technology. The program also offers several Graduate Certificates including: E-Learning Design and Development, Florida Virtual/Digital Educator, Instructional Design, and Web Design. All students who are enrolled in graduate degree programs at USF may earn Graduate Certificates without additional cost.

Graduates have many career options in fields related to e-Learning and multimedia instruction in industry, medical, government, university, and K-12,educational settings. The curriculum includes a wide array of courses; including instructional design, game-design and development, web programming, web design, interactive media, distance learning, digital video, instructional graphics, cybersecurity education, and educational research. Students have the opportunity in working with faculty on real world development and research projects utilizing cutting-edge learning technologies, cognitive and motivational theories.
