Doctor of Philosophy
To be accepted into the program, students must meet the following requirements:
- A master's degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited university or international equivalent
- Experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary or college level
- Submit official (in a sealed envelope or recorded on transcript) GRE scores taken within the last five years (preferred scores of at least 156 on the quantitative portion and 150 on the verbal portion)
- An earned "B" (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) average or better in all work attempted while registered as a master's level graduate student
In addition, each applicant is encouraged to submit a "Statement of Purpose" and three letters of recommendation.
