Magellan Health, USF's Employee Assistance Program provider, has opened a Toll-Free Crisis Line to provide Free Counseling and Referral Services to Floridians impacted by the High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. These services are available free-of-charge to the local community and USF employees.
The toll-free number to access free and confidential, crisis counseling services is 1-800-327-7451.
Additionally, Magellan has provided the below resources specific to coping with grief and recovery from traumatic events:
- Coping with grief
- Recognizing and reducing anxiety in times of crisis
- Responding to children after a traumatic event
- Trauma in the community
- Impacts of a traumatic event
