What is tCAP?
tCAP is a structured, multiyear career development program for undergraduate students in the Bellini College. Rather than waiting until the final year to focus on internships and career preparation, tCAP helps students build technical skills, professional skills, industry experience and career connections throughout their undergraduate studies.
tCAP builds on career-development programming pioneered by the Bellini Center for Talent Development and adapts it for students in AI, IT, cybersecurity, computer science and computer science and engineering. It combines career exploration, professional development, networking and internship preparation with major-specific technical skills, industry tools and structured experiential learning. The goal is to help students graduate with the technical preparation, professional skills and experience needed to enter the technology workforce and continue developing as the field changes.
Why tCAP matters?
Employers expect technology graduates to bring more than academic knowledge. They need students who can apply technical skills in real settings, communicate effectively, work in teams, solve problems, use current industry tools and exercise sound judgment when working with AI-enabled technologies.
tCAP develops these capabilities throughout the undergraduate experience rather than leaving career preparation until the final year. It combines professional development, technical skill building, employer engagement and structured experiential learning so that students graduate with relevant experience, evidence of what they can do and professional connections that can help them compete for internships and transition into the technology workforce.
