biography

Gabriela V. Caveda is a master's student at the University of South Florida studying communication. Gabriela's studies are focused on the intersectional ties between gender, ethnic, and political media studies. Her primary focus is on the ways that gender and cultural dynamics influence communication and media broadcasting within the political and health sectors. Her research delves into how individuals from various groups, specifically the Latino/a/x community, are affected by healthcare politics and general changing policies. Gabriela’s research also reviews the ways that political media and popular media represent different demographics and crises in similar and contrasting ways, both in the United States and abroad.
