BIOGRAPHY

Mitchell Popovic (B.A. University of South Florida) is a second year M.A. Fellow studying political communication, political rhetoric and efficacy, and media content and effects. Mr. Popovic desires to utilize quantitative research methods to study and observe the impact of political rhetoric, and its dispersal through media channels, on voter groups. Through these observations, conclusions can be made on the efficiency of political messaging, and how to improve representation for underrepresented voting groups.

Mr. Popovic has a background in speech, debate, and theatre, and played adult league hockey for recreation before the Covid-19 Crisis. Due to lockdowns, and health hazards, he now spends the majority of his free time writing fiction under a pen name, learning to play guitar, and taking his two dogs, Nell and Ella, for walks. Mr. Popovic is a Member of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta, and looks forward to continuing community service work through the organization.
