Dr. Schneider received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in New Testament and Early Christian Literature, with an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity in New Testament and Archeology, and a M.A. from Florida State University in Religious Studies. His research and writings have been on Christian Apocrypha, Gnosticism and the earliest Christian communities within Jewish sectarianism of the Late Second Temple Period. Dr. Schneider teaches in the areas of Biblical languages and studies, Jewish studies, the History of Christianity and World Religions.
