Vita

Elizabeth Carlson is an assistant instructor of accounting at the Lynn Pippinger School of Accountancy on the Sarasota-Manatee campus, where she teaches courses in principles of accounting.

Carlson also has her own consulting business in tax, accounting and litigation support.  She is a CPA, Certified Valuation Analyst, Certified Financial Planner and is certified in financial forensics. Carlson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Carlson received her master's and bachelor's degrees in accounting from the University of Florida.

Research

Carlson has done extensive research in the area of divorce taxation and has done presentations nationally on her research.

Service

Carlson is currently serving on the FICPA Scholarship Foundation Board of Trustees.
