Pavla Ozkul works with the USF Muma College of Business in two areas: career management and study-abroad programming. As the director of the Office of Employer Relations and International Programs, Ozkul works jointly with USF Career Services to host a number of events and workshops designed to help students develop as professionals. Her office also leads Muma College of Business professional development programs such as the Elevator Competition, the Career Clinic and provides graduate-level career counseling. Ozkul further works with the USF Education Abroad office to design summer study-abroad programs, assists in developing new international partnerships and advises business students on overseas programs.

Her research focuses on student global competence linked to study-abroad experiences. She works closely with the USF Global Citizens project office to ensure students have the opportunity to participate in study-abroad opportunities and increase their global competence level.

Bringing her experience from the Czech Republic and Germany where she operated a small joint-venture enterprise, Ozkul taught a course on international management at the University of Laval, Canada, for two years during the Summer Business School in Quebec City, and a course on transitional economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia, during a summer study-abroad trip. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Committee on Foreign Relations, the International Business Board and volunteers for a program called Quantum Leap, a rehabilitation program for handicapped adults and war veterans.

She earned a PhD in curriculum and instruction and an MBA from University of South Florida, and bachelor’s degree in international business  from Georgia State University.
