Vita

Eddie Sanchez Jr. is a finance instructor in the Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance in Sarasota- Manatee. He teaches courses related to principles of investments, financial markets and institutions. Prior to coming to USF in 2018, Sanchez was an adjunct professor with the University of Tampa.

His research interests are in municipal bonds, hedge funds, mutual funds, capital markets and financial institutions. He has more than 20 years of experience as a hedge fund portfolio manager and securities analyst. He managed long/short technology and telecommunications portfolios at Citigroup Investments, First New York Securities, The Galleon Group, Credit Suisse and the Blackthorn Group.

Sanchez earned a PhD with a concentration in finance from the University of Florida. He received an MBA focusing on portfolio management/security analysis from Creighton University, a master's degree in economics from Trinity College and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Quinnipiac University.
