TAMPA (October 23, 2019) -- The MS in Business Analytics and Information Systems in the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business was recently ranked No. 47 worldwide – and No. 27 in the United States and No. 1 in Florida – in the 2020 QS World ranking for business analytics programs. The MS in Management has also been named on the list, coming in at No. 101 in the world for 2020 MS in Management programs.

Much of the credit for the rankings goes to the near 100 percent placement rate for graduates. According to a survey of graduates of the program, some have gone on to work for Twitter, Amazon and IBM, with an average reported annual salary of over $91,000.

The USF MS in Business Analytics and Information Systems ranked No. 9 globally in the “Value for Money” category among MS in business analytics programs. Surveys also revealed USF’s name recognition in the MS in BAIS program among academics contributed to the high academic reputation score.

Achieving the total score that led to this is a result of the strong teamwork of the faculty, students and supporting staff over the years, said Kaushik Dutta, chair of the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department.

“The results are very encouraging as there is room for growth,” he said. “Results like these help form future goals and plans. By maintaining a strong student selection and keeping up academic reputation, the MS in BAIS program will keep rising in the rankings.”
