Fall 2019 Students
Samuel Camilo, a senior majoring in finance with a concentration in asset management, was born
in the Bronx, New York. Originally a transfer student, Camilo served as the finance
chair for the Brain Computer Interface Club and the fundraising chair for the Dominican
American Student Association. He is currently a Muma College of Business senator for
USF and served on the finance, grants and ethics committees. He is also on the Activity
and Service Recommendation Committee at USF which is in charge of allocating $17 million
to various departments on campus. His goal is to become a successful financial investor
and through the ASA he hopes to expand his knowledge in security analysis via real
world applications. He looks forward to the opportunities to network with business

Timothy Davis is a first-generation American, born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. Exposed at
a young age to market movements through his father’s real estate investments after
the 2008 recession, Davis has developed a passion for studying financial markets and
investment instruments and is an avid speculator. He is pursuing a finance major and
has a background in applied statistics, upper-level mathematics and information technology.
He currently works at Morgan Stanley as a wealth management intern analyzing client
portfolios, performing market research and assisting in the development of portfolio
management models. In joining the ASA program, he plans to further challenge and develop
his research and fundamental analytical skills. Davis aspires to enter the field of
private equity and is currently pursuing his CFA designation. He is a member of the
Student Investment Club and hopes to become a community leader to serve as a role

Nick Dawson, a senior finance major, was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and joined the
Army at 17. His service showed him the world and exposed him to many different cultures.
The army is also where he developed his interest in finance, particularly the stock
market. Dawson’s goal is to sharpen his analytical skills in the ASA program and
bring above-market returns to the Student Managed Investment Fund. He feels that participation
in the program will develop the skills necessary to become an equities analyst in
the Tampa Bay area. Dawson desires to meet finance professionals and play a role in

Jonathan Ebberhart is pursuing a degree in finance, concentrating in asset management, accompanied by
minors in political science and economics. He grew up playing football and applied
the characteristics that underpinned athletic success to his academic pursuits. Prior
to joining the ASA program, Ebberhart spent a summer as an operations associate with
Anchor Wealth Management and this last summer as a wealth management summer analyst
with the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He sees himself immersed in a successful career
in corporate finance before starting his own private equity firm. Ebberhart is passionate
about spreading financial literacy to rid communities of cyclical poverty. After graduation

Cristiano Fernandes Filho is a finance major with an economics minor currently pursuing a CFA designation.
Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Fernandes is the president of the Brazilian Student
Association at USF and a first-generation college student who holds a USF grade-point
average of 3.97. He previously served as a finance and economics tutor, helping students
to succeed in five different courses offered at USF. After spending a summer in a
financial planning and analysis internship with Citi, Fernandes joined the ASA program
to gain experience with equities. After graduation he plans to pursue a career in

Martha Herrera Quintero, born and raised in Colombia, from a young age began learning the basics of investing
from her father and so she began to study and graduated with a degree in business
administration with a concentration in capital markets. Now, she’s pursuing her second
degree in in finance with a concentration in asset management at USF. She interned
in The Walt Disney Company in the area of customer service before taking an analyst
position in her derivatives class’ final project, which helped exporting entrepreneurs
create hedge strategies with derivatives. Currently, she’s a first-generation college
student within USF's Corporate Mentor Program. With ASA course, she expects to experience
firsthand the pressure and fast environment of being in an analyst. Herrera Quintero
hopes to enter the field of investment banking creating opportunities for companies

Gregory Klug is set to graduate in May 2020, majoring in finance with a concentration in asset
management. As a Tampa native, he hopes to stay in the Tampa Bay area and start his
career in asset management, investment banking or investment research. Klug interned
this summer at J.P. Morgan Chase as an analyst in the Corporate Analyst Development
Program and has previously interned at Foresters Financial. Earlier this year, he
served as an employer host with USF Career Services and continued as a data and economics
intern last semester. In 2017, he started his own business, Carstats4u.com, a website
that provides car enthusiasts with statistics on more than 200 vehicles. Klug credits
his leadership abilities to coaching soccer at Carrollwood Day School, where he coached
the men’s junior varsity squad. He is excited to gain further experience in security
analysis and investment valuation through the ASA program. Most importantly, he hopes
to apply techniques and concepts learned in the ASA program to real world assets and

Dylan MacFarquhar is a senior from Palm Beach Gardens majoring in finance and personal financial planning
with a concentration in asset management. He is a member of the USF Honors College,
Business Honors Program, and a founding father of the Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity
at USF. This past summer, he interned with PNC in its Asset Management Group, and
has also held an investment banking internship with Crosstree Capital Partners. He

Igor Bampa Schattan was born in Brazil and is a finance major with a concentration in asset management.
He came to the United States five years ago for a high school education. Having played
high-level tennis since an early age, he has developed a competitive nature in everything
he does. He also learned how to be a team player and to support people around him.
Bampa Schattan is the president for the Student Finance Association at USF and interned
at Franklin Templeton this summer. As a senior, he now is interning at Morgan Stanley
in the Wealth Management Division, something he would like to do long-term. He is
looking forward to getting as much hands-on experience in ASA as possible in order
to be competitive in the job market and fulfill his goal of working in investment
banking or private wealth management. Through this program, he hopes to learn how
to make smart investment decisions, receive constructive criticism in order to best

Samuel Steck was born in St. Louis and has been in Tampa for the past 18 years. He is an Honors College student, double majoring in finance and accounting, and plans to acquire a minor in entrepreneurship. For the 2019-20 school year, Steck is a merger and acquisition investment banking intern at Crosstree Capital Partners in Tampa. He has been an active member of the university’s Student Investment Club since his freshman year and currently holds the position of executive chairman. Steck is also part of the USF club golf team and is an adventure trip leader for USF Outdoor Recreation. Through the ASA program, he hopes to improve his financial modeling abilities and become better versed in financial analysis, allowing him to more effectively value equities and operate more comfortably in the financial services space.
